Keeping Hydrated During Chemotherapy

Why is keeping hydrated important?

  • Water makes up more than half of your body weight
  • Your body depends on water to survive. A person can survive about two months without food, but only a few days without water
  • Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to function. For example, your body uses water to regulate its temperature and blood pressure, remove waste products, and lubricate your joints
