Library and knowledge services

Accordion

We have very active libraries and learning resources. These always get good reports from our doctors in training and medical students.

We have impressive physical libraries, with books, journals and study space with PCs, internet, photocopying and printing. We also have embraced the e-learning culture, and you can access your portfolios and NHS e-learning products from library PCs.

Ask for help to have tailored information delivered to your desktop or mobile device. We can set you up with Athens passwords.

For exam preparation, we can help with books to help prepare for specific exams, plus access to on-line exam support.

The library staff run short small-group or 1-to-1 training on literature search skills, to make best use of the vast range of on-line resources including PubMed and NHS Evidence. We also offer critical appraisal skills training is also offered using CASP checklists.

We have a comprehensive range of books and journals in stock, and access to most others through networks or online. Ask for the articles and books you need or search our catalogue

Use our literature search service if you need to find articles, research papers and guidance to support audits, case studies, research, presentations, Continuing Professional Development and clinical care.
