Nurses from Italy, Spain, and Romania join the Trust

We’ve welcomed seven staff nurses who have joined us from Italy, Spain and Romania, as part of our extensive recruitment campaign in Europe and overseas to attract more nurses to work at the Trust. Four will be working at Conquest Hospital and three at Eastbourne DGH.

The nurses will spend a week being introduced into the organisation and will then start working on the wards. They already have active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Alice Webster, Director of Nursing said: “We have welcomed this group of nurses into the Trust and are delighted that they have chosen to come and work in East Sussex. We hope that they will quickly settle in and enjoy the experience of working with us. They form part of our on-going commitment to increase the number of registered nurses in our Trust.”

There is a further 77 nurses who are set to join by the end of June with more interviews planned over the next couple of months. They join the 29 new nurses already working who have joined since March 2016.
