The listening audience of Conquest Hospital Radio will increase significantly thanks to the investment in new broadcasting equipment and an online service.
Dr Adrian Bull ESHT Chief Executive, in the presence of Mayor of Hastings Cllr Judy Rogers, opened the new service at a launch event attended by around 30 Conquest Hospital Radio volunteers.
Keith Crispin Station Manger Conquest Hospital Radio said: “The significant investment we have made in new broadcasting equipment and the launch of our online service increases our audience into the local community and far beyond. Our audience is no longer confined to just the hospital. Family and friends can now listen to their messages and requests online, helping to bring them closer to their loved ones in hospital. I would like to thank our sponsors and fundraisers who have made this possible.”
Dr Adrian Bull ESHT Chief Executive said: “I was delighted to have the honour of launching this new service which will benefit both patients and our local community. I want to thank the many volunteers who give up their time to help keep Conquest Hospital Radio on air and online 24/7.”
Mayor of Hastings Cllr Judy Rogers said: “Hospital radio plays a critical role in a patient’s recovery. On behalf of Hastings, patients and the community and everyone involved in Conquest Hospital Radio, I want to thank you for your priceless time you give to make lives better.”
