Joshua Reed, who is in Year 6 at Guestling Bradshaw CE Primary School, walked just over 4 miles from the Jerwood Gallery to Glyne Gap with his Mum, Billie. They visited the unit together to hand over the money raised through sponsorship from family and friends.

Joshua said: “I chose to raise money for the unit as my Mum was looked after here when she was pregnant with me. I hope the money can be used to buy equipment to help other babies who are born early.”

SCBU Matron, Wendy Thompsett said: “We would like to thank Joshua and his Mum for this fantastic donation. It was a lovely thing for him to do and we will put this money towards buying some new equipment for the unit.”
