Doreen Payne, whose husband of 62 years, David sadly died in December 2017, has donated £1,000 to the Pevensey Ward team in recognition of the care and support they gave her late husband.
Doreen returned to thank the ward team and present them with the donation collected from family and friends of her late husband.

Doreen Payne said: “I, and my family, wanted to donate the money we raised to the wonderful doctors and nurses on Pevensey Ward for the care and support they gave my loving husband of 62 years.”
Pevensey Ward Sister, Janice Talent said: “It was good to see Doreen again; she is being very brave following the loss of her husband David. We are very grateful to her and her family for their generous donation which will go to fund training and support for the ward team.”
