The day room and relatives room on Benson ward at Conquest Hospital has received a facelift thanks to the hard work of Healthcare Assistant Tabatha Loynes who, in her own time, has decorated the two rooms.
The ward received donations of paint and wallpaper from local companies and Tabatha, with the occasional help from her husband Andy, gave up her own time to decorate the rooms. Both rooms are now bright and airy with décor to enhance the patient experience and a reclining sofa in the relatives room.
Healthcare Assistant Tabatha Loynes said: “We have a great team here on Benson ward. Over the course of a about month, I came back to the ward when I was off duty and my kids were at school to make these two rooms more inviting for our patients. The rooms are now very different and the comments from everyone about them have been amazing.”
Benson ward Matron Su Sparkes said: “Tabatha and the rest of the ward team have been amazing. The two rooms are a lot brighter now and help to make the patient experience so much better.”
