New Scopes for ENT

The ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) department has recently taken delivery of three new portable Laryngoscopes thanks to a £16,500 donation by the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital.

The portable Laryngoscope is a flexible endoscope that is passed through the mouth and is equipped with a source of light and magnification. It is used by doctors to get a view of inside a patient’s nose and throat for examining and performing local diagnostic and surgical procedures on the larynx.
