BOP Cancer Charity raise £6,500 for Pevensey Unit

The BOP (breast, ovarian and prostate) cancer charity, along with friends and family of patients, both past and present, has raised £6,500 for the Pevensey Unit at Eastbourne DGH. The money was raised by holding a golfing day and an auction where people were very generous with their bids, along with Lynda Jacobs shaving her hair off for the charity.

John Jacobs, who helped raise this money along with other friends and family said: “My wife Lynda would like to give a huge thank you to all her Diplock Café customers for their support. We would also like to thank Chris Rose and his team and all the people that supported this charity to raise this worthwhile donation.”

Matron Clare Evans, Pevensey Day Unit said: “On behalf of Pevensey Day Unit’s patients and staff we are so very grateful for their generosity. Funds will go directly to the unit to help provide equipment and resources to benefit patient care and experience”.
