Over 50 presents for boys and girls of different ages, who attend the Emergency department at Conquest Hospital over the Christmas period, have been purchased, thanks to a donated of money from the Lodge St Michael 4426 in St Leonards.
Emergency Department Matron, Holly Gray said: “We would like to thank Lodge St Michael for their kind donation to help us purchase children’s toys. Christmas can be a very difficult time for some children and their families due to sudden illness or injury. These toys and gifts will make those unfortunate enough to attend the Emergency Department over the festive period, a little brighter. A big thank you to Joanne, from The Works in Priory Meadow, for the 25% discount off the presents and the help of Matron Angela Coshell and Sister Berri Roper for wrapping them.”
Paul Hammond, Worshipful Master of Lodge St Michael 4426 said: “We are delighted to be able to donate these presents for children attending the Conquest Hospital Emergency Department at Christmas. We hope they will bring some cheer at this festive time of year.”
