Donation to Kipling Children’s ward at Conquest Hospital

A donation of £3,025 has been made to the Kipling Children’s ward at Conquest Hospital, by local company Blackbrooks Garden Centre in Sedlescombe.

The money donated will be used to purchase items that will benefit children and their families and the staff that care for them.

Rachel Brook, Matron on Kipling Ward and Short Stay Paediatric Assessment Unit said: “We would like to thank Blackbrooks Garden Centre and the public for raising this money, and their kind generosity. This large donation will go towards equipment, which will help improve the stay of children and young people and their families, for example, sensory equipment for children and young people with special needs.”

Kipling Children’s inpatient ward has 17 beds and cares for children aged from birth to 16 years and our short stay paediatric assessment unit treats children who don’t need to stay overnight in hospital.
