IT Engineer, Darren Cumber has won an Employee of the month award for his work to make sure a new control room, which will help with patient flow, was ready in time for a visit by Secretary of State Matt Hancock.
Andy Bissenden, Associate Director, ESHT Digital who nominated Darren said: “Darren went above and beyond to help out with a new control room at Conquest hospital which is designed to help with patient flow. A member of the team had to leave at short notice. Darren stepped in and worked for five days sometimes until 9.00pm to ensure that it was all working for the visit by Secretary of State Matt Handcock, in which he was very impressed by. Although not part of Darren’s job remit he fully supported the team and was complemented for his commitment to getting the work done in such short time scale”.
Darren was presented with his award by Trust Chairman, Steve Phoenix.
