Shaina Leach a patient who underwent a bone marrow transplant seven years ago, has returned to Pevensey Ward at Eastbourne DGH to make a donation of £1000 to the Pevensey Unit Fund.

Shaina Leach said “I can’t put into words my feelings for all the staff on Pevensey Ward. The level of care I received and the amount of times that I experienced staff going way beyond their duties and looking after me was astounding. Thank you is not enough.”
Pevensey Ward Matron, Arturo Lazaro said: “It was nice to see Shaina again, and that she is doing well after her transplant. We are grateful to her and her family, for their generous donation which will be useful for improving the care and facilities for patients and their families as well as for staff.
