A family who raised £800 in a sponsored climb onto the top of the O2 arena, has visited Pevensey ward to hand over a cheque to doctors and nurses, in recognition of the care they provided.
Val Thornton, said: “We are so grateful to all those who sponsored us to climb the O2 walk over the roof earlier this year. We raised £800 for Pevensey Ward as Dr Grace and his team treated my son who is now in remission. We are so appreciative to everyone on the ward for their outstanding care.”
Pevensey Ward Matron, Arturo Lazaro said: “We are grateful to Val and her family for their generous donation which we will put towards improving facilities for patients and their families.”
