Forty volunteers, who were nominated for their long volunteering support and for making a significant difference to patients, visitors and staff in the last year, are also set to receive a luxury food hamper. The hampers were put together by local East Sussex delicatessens, and will be delivered by the Trust’s own volunteer pharmacy drivers.

Gill Reynolds, Patient Experience Lead Voluntary Services said: “We are tremendously grateful for the marvellous support we get from our army of volunteers. They give their time and skills for free to improve the patient, staff and visitor experience. They make a real difference across East Sussex and make a valuable contribution to the Trust’s commitment to being outstanding and always improving.”

Dorinda Stott, one of the volunteers receiving a hamper, was nominated by the Audiology Department for being ‘‘one in a million… fantastic with the staff and patients.’’
