Teresa Crofts, who has been volunteering at Eastbourne DGH for almost 16 years and who previously worked at the Trust, has turned 90.
Teresa volunteers in the main reception area two days a week in a meet and great role, assisting visitors with checking in for appointments or to find their way around the hospital. Teresa has helped to develop her volunteer role, which changed from an information desk position, to a meet and greet one during the pandemic.
Teresa always shows respect and compassion to visitors and patients who need help, when they come into hospital in her current role, and also as a volunteer and staff member in the bereavement service. Teresa enjoys volunteering and has been a great role model for new volunteers who join our service.
Lorraine Mason, Assistant Director of HR – OD and Staff Engagement presented Teresa with flowers and a gift.
