Earlier this month Sally-Ann Hart, the Conservative MP for Hastings and Rye, visited First Steps Nursery at Conquest Hospital.

First Steps Nursery is a new purpose-built nursery that offers a fully accessible learning environment for children, with enclosed outside play facilities for different age groups.

On her visit Sally-Ann received a tour of the facilities and chatted with staff and some of the children. She said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to the new nursery at Conquest Hospital. It is a wonderful light and airy building providing a delightful environment for both young children and dedicated and caring staff.”

The nursery opened in January 2022 and provides 56 places a day for children of our staff and other parents who work for the NHS. We are delighted to be able to support our workforce by providing flexible childcare for our staff on site.

Sally-Ann continued: “Having such a good quality nursery on the hospital site enables NHS staff with young children to fully focus on their important NHS work, in the knowledge that their children are receiving excellent nursery care.”
