Congratulations to the logistics team at Eastbourne District General Hospital for winning this month’s Hero of the Month award!
The team was nominated by Kelly Porter, Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and the Chairman. She said:
“Tony and his team work extremely hard and often go unnoticed. They constantly go above and beyond to support colleagues with anything from sourcing or moving the odd item of furniture to a full office move.
“Tony and his team recently supported our office move, and right from the very beginning his knowledge and experience was invaluable in making sure the move ran smoothly and without any hitches.
“Tony and his team demonstrated that they are good humoured, supportive and that they communicate well, overseeing all aspects of what was required.
The team are an asset to the trust and without their hard work and support our move would not have been possible.
“I would personally like to extend a big thank you to the logistics team for their support in the smooth running of the move.”
Steve Phoenix, Chairman, presented the team with a certificate.
The ‘Hero of the Month’ award recognises the great work of our colleagues who demonstrate how our values are lived out as part of everyday working life.
Each month, members of staff nominate their colleagues for the award. Eight divisional heroes of the month are selected by divisional leads and these nominations go forward to be chosen from by the trust’s executive team for our overall ‘Hero of the Month’.
