A beautiful mural has been hand painted on the wall at the entrance lobby to the maternity unit at Conquest Hospital.
The brightly coloured mural, which depicts a beach scene, has been painted by the Darvell community, who are located near Robertsbridge. The community are responsible for some of the other murals at the hospital, including in the Kipling courtyard.
Amy Jenkins, Midwifery Matron, said:
“We would like to thank the Darvell community for their amazing kindness in offering to brighten up our maternity entrance, and we are delighted with the result. It is bright and colourful and has made a drab area very welcoming indeed. It has been warmly received by maternity staff and service users alike.”
