Congratulations to Daniel Guakrodger, Emergency Care Technician, who was presented with an NHS England healthcare support worker (HCSW) Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) award by Claire Bishop, Deputy Chief Nurse.
Daniel was nominated by his colleagues who joined the presentation of the award, saying of Daniel that he was “always extremely keen to improve ways of working within the department for both patients and colleagues alike.”
Daniel has recently taken on the train the trainer role for two essential pieces of equipment within the emergency department and can now deliver training to ensure that compliance is improved for both the blood gas analyser and INR (International Normalised Ratio) machine, which are key to essential bedside monitoring.
In addition, Daniel has been instrumental in actioning the department’s ‘Going Greener’ campaign, arranging for recycling bins to be installed in the Emergency Department, and most recently he put forward an improvement suggestion that changes the way the team use the current digital patient records system, making the process more efficient, which will directly improve service delivery by saving nurses time.
Daniel is an “asset to the team and is always thinking about improving care for patients.”
Congratulations on the award Daniel, all your hard work deserves to be recognised and we are proud of your achievements!
