We have been formally presented with the Gold Wellbeing at Work Award through the East Sussex County Council accreditation programme.

This Gold Award, confirmed in December 2025, follows our earlier success in securing Bronze and Silver in 2024, marking a sustained and meaningful commitment to staff wellbeing.
This achievement reflects the collective effort of colleagues across the organisation, Wellbeing Champions, teams who supported the evidence submission, executive leadership, and wellbeing colleagues Trust‑wide. Every contribution played a part in reaching this milestone.
To secure the Gold Award, we were required to demonstrate a comprehensive, organisation‑wide commitment to staff health, wellbeing and supportive workplace culture. Our submission covered a wide range of standards across physical activity, healthy eating, mental health, substance misuse, sickness absence, leadership, ageing well, MSK support and wider social value.
Matt Ellis, Programme Lead for Wellbeing at Work (WAW), Public Health, East Sussex County Council said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with the Trust team throughout the WAW programme. Their knowledge, dedication and passion for supporting a large number of staff with individual and cultural wellbeing is second to none. I look forward to our ongoing relationship in improving wellbeing practices across the Trust. A big congratulations on gold, you all earned it!”
Stacey Bolingbroke, People Wellbeing and Engagement Manager at the Trust said: “Thank you to each and every one of our colleagues for their support, engagement and contribution. Without you all, this would not have been possible, and we will continue building on this strong foundation together.”
The Trust recognises how essential the wellbeing of our people is, and the Gold Award is another way to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to supporting our people.
