The Theatre and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Teams at Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne DGH have been presented with our Hero of the Month award.

The teams nomination said: “I am nominating ESHT Theatres/PACU Conquest and Eastbourne for supporting the opening of the Sussex Surgical Centre (SSC) and maintaining summer activity in all Theatres. Staff have worked across sites and helped to move equipment into SSC.

“As well as covering shifts at the last minute to ensure elective surgical activity continues during the transition and throughout the school summer holidays. During this very busy time, all Theatre staff have worked hard to uphold Theatre lists, ensure the best possible care to patients and support colleagues across both sites.
