Our Community Rehabilitation Hub recently welcomed Mims Davis, MP, and Mandy Thomas Atkin, senior caseworker.

The duo joined colleagues from East Sussex Healthcare for a positive and engaging visit showcasing the benefits of bringing physiotherapy, occupational therapy and rehabilitation support together under one roof.
Sean Daisy, Interim Service Manager, and Simon Dowse, Director of Transformation, introduced Mims and Mandy to the Hub’s aims, activity and impact, followed by a guided tour of facilities to meet staff and see elements of the service in practice. The visit concluded with a discussion on achievements, challenges and future opportunities.
The session was a strong example of the growing external recognition the service is receiving, reflecting its role in supporting local population needs and improving access to joined up community rehabilitation.
Simon Dowse, Director of Transformation, said: “It was great to spend time with Mims and to see the Community Rehabilitation Hub in action. It’s fantastic when local MPs are engaged, and this visit showed how we can all recognise the potential of the Hub, which brings joined-up services to the neighbourhood and is a great example of how we can integrate community delivered services in excellent facilities. We want the very best for colleagues and local communities, to ensure the service is used to its fullest and continues to offer a modern, joined up approach to healthcare.”
