The Friends of Conquest Hospital have launched a new appeal to raise £101,000 for specialist equipment for patients and families across Hastings and Rother.
Working closely with our clinical teams, the charity has identified three priority areas where additional equipment will have a direct impact on patient care:
- 12 specialist cots for babies receiving care in the Special Care Baby Unit
- 30 Holter heart monitors to help cardiology patients be monitored safely at home
- A Resuscitaire for the Maternity Theatre, providing immediate support for babies who need help at birth

Jo Clark, General Manager of the Friends of Conquest Hospital, said:
“Our NHS provides outstanding care every day, but charitable support allows us to go further by funding equipment that can transform the patient experience and enhance clinical services.
“This appeal focuses on some of the most vulnerable people in our community, from newborn babies requiring specialist care to patients awaiting heart investigations. The equipment will make a tangible difference to thousands of local people for years to come.
“We know £101,000 is an ambitious target, but we also know the strength and generosity of our local community. Together, we can ensure Conquest Hospital has the equipment it needs to deliver the very best care possible.”
