Mr Rose graduated from Cambridge University. He undertook basic surgical training at Guys & St Thomas’ Hospitals. Higher surgical training was on the South East Thames orthopaedic rotation, working in hospitals throughout London, Kent and Sussex. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013.

During his training he achieved MSc degree following research into recovery following forefoot surgery. He undertook a year of fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia where he was exposed to the surgical management of a wide range of foot and ankle pathology. He subsequently successfully completed a prestigious fellowship with Dishan Singh at the internationally acclaimed Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, where he developed further expertise in complex foot and ankle surgery. He was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery at Eastbourne District General Hospital (East Sussex Hospital NHS Trust) in 2016.

Mr Rose has a specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery. His practice includes the whole spectrum of foot and ankle conditions ranging from sports injuries, ankle instability, tendon problems, foot and ankle deformity, arthritic disease through to the management of heel pain, forefoot pain, bunions and lesser toe problems. Surgical procedures comprise all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including arthroscopic procedures, stabilisations, complex reconstructions, arthroplasty (joint replacement), arthrodesis (joint fusion), tendon surgery, bunion correction and lesser toe correction. Mr Rose is part of the multidisciplinary team for diabetic foot treatment.

Mr Rose runs elective orthopaedic clinics and fracture clinics as well as weekly operating lists at Eastbourne District General Hospital. He also runs a regular trauma operating list at Conquest Hospital and is part of the trauma on-call team.

Mr Rose is a keen teacher of trainee doctors and surgeons, and is an ATLS instructor.
