Mr Thakral began his medical training in Medical College and Hospital, Rohtak (India) and completed his orthopaedic training by completing his MS in Rajindra Hospital, Patiala (India) in 1992.
He subsequently underwent the rest of his orthopaedic training in United Kingdom and has been working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Conquest Hospital since 2007. He specialises in shoulder and hand surgery, including arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder.
He has a special interest in teaching junior surgeons and is an examiner for MSc (Orthopaedics).
