Dr Hugh McIntyre was appointed Consultant Physician, Conquest Hospital in 1995. Dr Hugh McIntyre training was received from King Edward’s School, Birmingham. He was Senior House Officer, at St George’s Hospital in London and a Registrar at St Thomas’ Hospital, London. From 1990 -1992 he was a British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellow, Department of Physiology, St Thomas’ Hospital, London. Doctor of Medicine (MD), “The Electromechanical Properties of Hypertrophied Human Myocardium”, 1994.

In 1999 he was an honorary consultant cardiologist to the Brompton Hospital, London and in 2000 was appointed Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
