Mr Dunning’s surgical training was undertaken on the South East Thames rotational training scheme and completed this in 2009 having worked at Guys and St Thomas’, Kings College, Frimley Park, Darent Valley and the Kent and Sussex Hospital.

He had previously worked in Orthopaedics at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital and Kingston Hospital.

Mr Dunning has completed a 12 month fellowship at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, performing complex fore and hind-foot surgery, tendon reconstruction and total ankle replacement surgery. Mr Dunning spent time in 2009 in the United States observing Dr VJ Sammarco at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic centre learning complex foot and ankle procedures as the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society’s Travelling Fellow.

Mr Dunning has provided a high quality foot and ankle service in the Trust for 12 years and hopes to bring modern practice and surgical excellence to the local community in East Sussex.
