Profile

Miss Champion qualified from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals medical school in 1995. She completed her Orthopaedic training on the South East Thames Higher Surgical Training Programme in 2008.

She undertook a fellowship in Hand and Wrist surgery with the Plastics Hand Surgery team at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and a further Upper Limb surgery fellowship (including shoulder surgery) at King’s College Hospital, London.

Miss Champion was appointed as a Consultant in the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in 2010. She has a specialist interest in Hand and Wrist Surgery and Shoulder Surgery. She has a patient centred approach to her clinical activities and provides a comprehensive Hand Surgery service including the treatment of more common problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and Dupuytren’s contracture and treatment of more complex Hand and Wrist conditions.

Miss Champion is an active member of the Trauma team at Conquest Hospital where she enjoys management of a wide variety of trauma patients during her trauma weeks on call.
