Mr Simon Hoskinson

Profile

Mr Hoskinson undertook his preclinical undergraduate medical training at the University of Cambridge, and then completed clinical training at the Royal Free & University College Medical School, London in 2000. Following basic surgical training in Brighton, he then completed higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in London and the south east of England.

Following completion of his surgical training and gaining entry onto the Specialist Register, Mr Hoskinson undertook a Fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Canada which further developed his experience in hip and knee replacement surgery, including revision surgery. He then undertook a further Fellowship specialising in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery at St. George’s Hospital, London.

Mr Hoskinson was appointed as a Consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in 2015. He runs elective orthopaedic clinics and fracture clinics as well as weekly operating lists at Eastbourne District General Hospital. He also runs a regular trauma operating list at the Conquest Hospital and is part of the trauma on-call team.
