You have been referred to the Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC).
You may have been referred by your GP, the Emergency Department, NHS 111, Ambulance service (SECAMB) or from a recent discharge from a hospital ward.
The Same Day Emergency Care Unit sees and assesses patients who need treatment, investigations or diagnostics on the same day, rather than being admitted to hospital overnight. You may be with us several hours whilst awaiting tests and results; we therefore provide refreshments during your visit.
