All trauma activity is now centralized at Conquest, while elective orthopedics continues on both sites, offering a balanced mix of emergency and planned care.

The Medical Education at ESHT is embarking on offering its inaugural Care for the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) course in March 2022.  Delivered over two days, CCriSP is a mandatory course for core surgical trainees. It is an interactive course (including mandatory pre-course e-learning) covering the practical skills and knowledge needed to look after surgical patients including those who are deteriorating patients or at risk of doing so.
