Volunteer services

At East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust we take great pride in our volunteers.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds and volunteer for many reasons, some to give something back to the hospital, some for experience and many who enjoy being part of a team on a daily basis.

If you are aged 16 upwards and can offer up some of your free time to join our team we would be pleased to hear from you.

For students and jobseekers we can provide both experience and a working reference for you subject to a minimum commitment period of six months.

All our roles are subject to DBS (disclosure barring service) checks and references, the Volunteer Services teams at Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne DGH can guide you through this process if needed.

Our magazine (available from the volunteer offices / reception areas at our hospitals and via the link below) gives a full description of what we look for in a volunteer, how to apply and what you can expect from being a volunteer at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

The Volunteer services is also on Twitter @ESHTVolunteers with regular updates on our events and news.
