Meetings in Public

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust hold regular board meetings in public.

April 2020 Update

Our Board meetings are usually held in public but due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we’ve had to put different arrangements in place to make sure we role model national government guidance for social distancing and protect both our staff and public from the risk of acquiring the virus. Therefore, instead of everyone being around the Board table, we are holding our Board meetings virtually. There will be fewer items discussed and some Board business will only be raised on an exception basis.

To continue our approach as an open organisation we will share the key messages from the Board in a short briefing as soon as possible after the meeting. Board minutes will also be posted once approved.

Attending meetings

Members of the public wishing to attend the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Board meeting in public can download copies of our agenda papers via the links above. The Trust is keen to minimise unnecessary wastage and would request you download and print the board papers before attending the meeting. If that is not possible, please request a printed copy via email (details below). Printed board papers will only be available to people who request a copy two working days prior to the meeting.

If you would like to submit a question in relation to any items on the agenda, please email the question (details below) three calendar days before the meeting. Questions in relation to items on the agenda will still be taken on the day.

On occasion, it may be necessary for the Board to consider agenda items which are confidential and cannot be discussed in public. If this is the case, a private session will be held at the meeting, from which the public will be excluded.
