The League of Friends of the Bexhill Hospital

The League of Friends of the Bexhill Hospital is a local charity supporting patients and staff by funding everything from major equipment like an MRI scanner, Ophthalmology day surgery, Dowling Unit and Irvine Unit. We also run two coffee shops and arrange arts on healthcare with live performances – all thanks to our amazing volunteers. Staff can apply to the League via the Bid process for new equipment.

The Friends of Conquest Hospital

The Friends of Conquest Hospital is a local charity supporting patients and staff by funding everything from major equipment like an MRI to smaller essentials like hydration trolleys, specialist chairs, and emergency toiletry kits. We run two hospital shops, a ward trolley service, and uplifting projects like live music and courtyard revitalisation – all thanks to our amazing volunteers. Staff can apply for funding or get help with their own fundraising ideas. We’re here to make a difference – come say hello or get involved!

Friends of Eastbourne Hospital

The fundamental aims and objectives of the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital have remained much the same since its formation in 1948.

To provide funds for extra services, equipment and amenities for patients and staff at Eastbourne DGH and the related community services, and to make donations where the expenditure has been recommended by the NHS Trust, and has been approved by the Committee.
To encourage voluntary work in the hospital.
To provide a link between the hospital and the community.

From a simple microwave for a ward whose staff want to heat up home-made food on their lunch break to a million-pound investment in a surgical robot to keep Eastbourne DGH at the forefront of prostate cancer treatment, the Friends will consider and consequently fundraise for any equipment, amenity or service that the hospital, its staff and consequently its patients, need.

Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital Ltd

Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital Ltd is a local charity which incorporated The League of Friends of the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital in 2013 (previously operated as a separate charity). The Charity actively supports patients and NHS staff by funding not only essential items of equipment such as a bariatric chair and a Sara Stedy but also toiletries for those patients not able to provide them for themselves and on site mini treatments for NHS staff.

We have a superb team of volunteers who help on our reception desk, with ward activities, gardening and fundraising events and we are in the process of implementing a new treats trolley service for our patients. We always welcome more volunteers so get in touch if you’d like to join our friendly team.
