Our Irvine Unit is a short stay rehabilitation unit on the site of Bexhill Hospital.
We work alongside our patients and their families to provide quality, person-centred, personalised rehabilitation, with the aim of maximising your ability to engage in everyday activities, increase your independence and enhance your quality of life.
We have 54 beds arranged in seven bays with separate side rooms. Level access bathrooms are located adjacent to each bay. The unit has a communal atrium, conservatory and level access garden, ideal for patients, families and friends to socialise. These areas can also be used for group therapy and activities to take place.
Our teams are made up of a variety of health and social care professionals who work together to provide an integrated and tailored approach to rehabilitation. We keep the trust values at the core of what we do.
Our teams work alongside patients and their loved ones and are here to navigate the rehabilitation journey with them. We work closely to agree and set personal goals, monitor your progress and ensure that all parties are informed at each stage. Family liaison meetings and discharge planning meetings offer an opportunity for teams to come together to discuss rehabilitation and discharge plans.
