Our Critical Care Units are made up of an Intensive Care Unit and a High Dependency Unit.
We provide these at both Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne DGH.
Critical Care
Intensive Care Unit
This is a mixed sex unit which includes side rooms.
An experienced nurse will provide specialist care for each patient who has a serious illness.
High Dependency Unit
This is a mixed sex unit which includes side rooms.
The patients here are less dependent than patients in the Intensive Care Unit but still require close monitoring.
