This appointment will be arranged by your midwife at your pre-booking appointment or over the telephone. It will take place at a time and place suitable to your needs and will last approximately one hour.
At this appointment your midwife will ask you a lot of personal questions related to your health, social circumstances, lifestyle and any previous pregnancies. You will also be asked some questions about your partner/baby’s father and your family’s health.
This will give us important information so we can help you decide the most appropriate type of antenatal care and where the best place would be for you to have your baby.
