All of our locations are accessible by a variety of transport options and where possible, we would always advise the public to try and make full use of public transport and more environmentally conscious options available

Bus information

There are bus shelters in and around all of our major locations.

Train Information

All of our locations are within reasonable distance of local train stations and onward bus travel

We would encourage anybody travelling to one of our locations to consult the National Rail Website for the most up to date services and timetables

Help with Travel Costs

If you are referred to our hospitals for NHS specialist treatment or diagnostic tests by your doctor, dentist or other health professional, you may be able to claim a refund of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS).
You should take your travel receipts, appointment letter or card, and proof that you are receiving one of the qualifying benefits to the cashier’s office to claim your travel costs:

Car Parking

There are charges for parking at Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne DGH only. The main car parks at these hospitals are pay-on-foot, which means you have to pay for your parking as you leave the hospital at the payment machines in the main entrances, the emergency departments or if you are in Eastbourne DGH, also in the outpatients department.

Some of the smaller car parks at Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne DGH are pay-and-display. Ticket machines are located in these car parks.

Our other sites also have some on-site car parking, for which there are no charges, but spaces may be limited. If you park in the surrounding public roads, please ensure you park courteously, ensuring you do not block any residents driveways or access areas.

Car parking charges

The main public car parks are pay-on-foot and the rest are pay-and-display. The following parking charges apply:
0 minutes up to 30 minutes – Free4 hours up to 5 hours – £7.30
From 30 minutes up to 1 hour – £1.605 hours up to 6 hours – £8.80
1 hour up to 2 hours – £3.006 hours up to 12 hours – £10.20
2 hours up to 3 hours – £4.5012 hours up to 24 hours – £15.80
3 hours up to 4 hours – £6.00Lost tickets - £15.80 per day (24 hours)
Discounted tickets are available from the car park office in the main car park:
5 day – £20.0014 day – £37.30
7 day – £26.6030 day – £45.30
Exemptions currently apply to:
  • Blue badge holders – free parking in designated blue badge bays (maximum stay 3 hours)
  • Patients attending cancer/oncology clinics and their relatives (national MacMillan guidelines)
  • End of Life Care relatives (bereavement)

Registered disabled blue badge holders

Registered disabled badge holders can park free of charge for a maximum of 3 hours, in the designated blue badge parking bays, when displaying a valid blue badge in the car windscreen.

Blue badge holders who park in our pay-on-exit car parks or pay-and-display car parks will be required to pay the full parking charge.

We have provided designated disabled parking bays close to the hospital entrances.
