This unit provides a first line medical assessment, investigation and treatment for patients over the age of 16 years.

Arlington Ward (previously the Frailty Unit) is currently being used as a ‘decant’ ward.

Berwick Ward is a 28-bedded general medical and cardiology ward.

The Coronary Care Unit is a 11 bedded unit, nursing elective and emergency admissions.

The Critical Care Unit has eight beds – five Intensive Care beds and three High Dependancy beds

Devonshire Ward is a medical escalation ward.

East Dean Unit has eight Acute and nine Hyper-acute Beds.

Eastbourne Midwifery Unit (EMU) is run by a group of core staff midwives and Midwifery Support Workers (MSW’s).

Friston ward is a 28 bed emergency urology and ENT (ear, nose and throat) ward.

Hailsham ward is 41 bed elective surgical ward.

Jevington Ward is a medical respiratory ward.

Jubilee Eye Suite is an Ophthalmic Day Unit.

Michelham Ward is an acute medical ward specialising in gastroenterology and isolation of patients.

Pevensey Ward and Day Unit specialises in Haematology and Oncology.

Seaford Ward is a frailty unit where general medical patients are admitted.

Sovereign Ward is a stroke unit with 22 Acute Beds.

Westham Ward is a 27-bedded medical ward with an interest in frailty.
