This unit provides a first line medical assessment, investigation and treatment for patients over the age of 16 years.
Berwick Ward is a 28-bedded general medical and cardiology ward.
The Coronary Care Unit is a 11 bedded unit, nursing elective and emergency admissions.
The Critical Care Unit has eight beds – five Intensive Care beds and three High Dependancy beds
Cuckmere Ward is an acute medical ward specialising in gastroenterology and isolation of patients.
Devonshire Ward is a medical escalation ward.
East Dean Unit has eight Acute and nine Hyper-acute Beds. Sovereign Unit has 22 Acute Beds. The unit undertakes 24/7 thrombolysis.
Eastbourne Midwifery Unit (EMU) is run by a group of core staff midwives and Midwifery Support Workers (MSW’s).
The Frailty Unit is a 28 bedded unit where general medical patients are admitted.
Friston ward is a 28 bed emergency urology and ENT (ear, nose and throat) ward for male and female patients.
Hailsham ward is 41 bed elective surgical ward. The ward has both male and female patients.
Jevington Ward is a medical respiratory ward.
Jubilee Eye Suite is an Ophthalmic Day Unit.
Pevensey Ward and Day Unit specialises in Haematology and Oncology.
Westham Ward is a 27-bedded medical ward with an interest in frailty.
