Eastbourne Midwifery Unit (EMU) is run by a group of core staff midwives and Midwifery Support Workers (MSW’s).
It has two main birthing rooms set up, one of which includes a birthing pool.
Midwives lead the care for women who have had a healthy, straightforward pregnancy and are at low risk of complications. Any women that develop complications during labour with herself or the baby are transferred to our acute unit at Conquest Hospital.

Eastbourne Midwifery Unit is on Level 2 (please see map).
