Certain countries throughout the world can put people at risk of contracting Tuberculosis (TB).
If you have travelled to the United Kingdom from an at risk countries then the BCG tuberculosis (TB) vaccine is offered to all babies who may be at risk of contact with TB. If your baby requires a vaccine a referral is generated at the time your baby is born. They will contact you at home with an appointment if necessary to come to the TB Clinic to see the specialist nurse for assessment.
