The Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) provides transport for treatment for patients who have a medical reason for not being able to travel by another method. Patient Transport has eligibility criteria to ensure that resources are focussed on those who need the service most.
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) is providing the NEPTS service for patients registered with a GP in Sussex.
Booking and managing your journeys
There are several service features to help you to book and manage NEPTS journeys, including:
- Patient Zone at www.scas.nhs.uk/nepts (in ‘Manage my booking online’), an online portal where you can make and manage your booking and check your journey status.
- Optional SMS text or landline voice message notifications to provide you with booking and journey status information
- SCAS staff in key hospitals to enhance patient service and vehicle turnaround times
